The Alaska Airlines Rock ‘n’ Roll Seattle Marathon & 1/2 Marathon comes to the Emerald City each year as one of Seafair’s Signature Events. 2017 promises to be extra special as we celebrate nine years running in Seattle and 20 Years Running of the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon Series.

As participants make their way through the scenic course, they are serenaded by local bands at each mile mark, along with themed water stations, cheerleading teams and thousands of spectators cheering them on. Once finished, participants join friends and family for a post-race concert featuring a major headliner. Leading up to race day participants are invited to kick things off with a two-day Health and Fitness Expo, featuring more than one hundred fitness retailers, exhibits and interactive clinics.
